About Us

J.A.Y. Food Consulting is a Brisbane (Queensland) based business owned an operated by Jacinta Sexton, an experienced Food Technologist / Food Scientist, Food Auditor, and Food Trainer.

She is qualified with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food Technology, HACCP certified, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, Certificate IV in Small Business Management, and a qualified Food Safety Auditor.  She has worked with many companies and has varied experience across several commodities.  She has developed many food safety and quality systems and successfully achieved third party certification to various standards for her clients.  She has delivered training internally for clients in food hygiene as well as for Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) in food processing. 

Jacinta has also been assisting small enterprises to bring their new food concept to life by providing technical advice in formulation development, process development, packaging and labelling development.


Jacinta is currently a Professional Member of the Australian Institute of Food Science & Technology (AIFST), and a member of the Food Industries Association of Queensland (FIAQ).
